The main cause of mental disorder can vary from situation to situation. It can be genetic r hereditory or at times it may be due to environmental conditions. If its genetic th it may affect during pregnancy and cognitive development of the child which later leads to mental disorders which are severe enough and can hamper the progress of the child. Genetics does play an important role in the development and if affected leads to longer disorders. Both stress and trauma can be the cause and care should be taken during pregnancy so as not to affect the foetus in any manner. The neuro development of the child should be recorded at regular intervals during the days of pregnancy and steroids could help if anything is found to be wrong. Alcohol and other bad drinks should be avoided which hampers the growth to greater extent. At times when the person is habitual to take the alcohol or smoking then when tried to leave that habit the person goes into mental agony so extreme care should be taken in this respect.
